Yesterday Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau addressed the 22nd annual IAFF Canadian Legislative Conference. He made a number of pledges including:
- Trudeau vows to repeal Conservative anti-labour legislation if elected.
- Trudeau pledges a Liberal government would pass the Public Safety Officer Compensation Benefit within its first year, and gets standing ovation.
- Trudeau announces a plan for restoring funding for Urban Search and Rescue that had been cut by Harper Government.
- Trudeau promises support for a national action plan for PTSD in first responders, military, veterans and RCMP.
