Congratulations to our Brothers and Sisters from NAPE for having the courage to stand up to this uncaring international corporation.

Striking workers at the Labatt brewery in St. John’s voted on a new collective agreement, putting an end to a strike that has lasted over 10 months.

The new contract — which expires in March 2020 — contains wage increases for employees.

Workers at the brewery will head back to work as early as Tuesday next week.

In a release sent out Saturday, the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees President Carol Furlong said it took two months to reach the settlement.
