A fire at a residence on Learning Road in the St. John’s neighbourhood of Shea Heights is being investigated by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
Police and members of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department were called out at 9:15 Friday night.
Officials told CBC that the fire started in the basement of the house.
The fire was quickly contained, but the home sustained considerable damage.
