Two people have been sent to hospital, and a home is extensively damaged following a structure fire on Watson Crescent, in the east end of St. John’s.
Fire crews were met with heavy smoke when they arrived on scene, shortly after 3:00 p.m. Shift Superintendent Robert Fowler says a neighbour smelled smoke, entered the residence, and rescued the woman inside.
