Cooking fire causes condominium evacuation

From The Telegram   The incident forced residents to evacuate the building for about thirty minutes while firefighters made sure the fire was completely extinguished and cleared the building of smoke. The injured man was treated on scene by paramedics from Eastern Health but he did not need to hospitalized.  

Fire at Bidgoods in Goulds

From VOCM   Smoke was seen coming from the building at around 8:00 p.m. Crews were able to get the situation under control and clear smoke from the building quickly. It’s not known how extensive the damage was to the building at this time. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

East end house fire quickly contained

From The Telegram Shortly after firefighters arrived, they spotted smoke coming from the eaves and deployed a hose into the home. There they finally located a fire inside a wall near the fireplace. Firefighters quickly opened up the wall and extinguished the fire  

House fire on Kennedy Road

From The Telegram   The Brookfield and Mount Pearl stations of the St. John’s Regional fire department responded to the call and quickly extinguished the fire. A resident who was home at the time said it appeared to be electrical in nature but a definite cause has not been established.
