Doug Cadigan has been a member of Local 1075 for 29 years.
He has been on the executive for a total of ten years in a variety of positions.
Doug assumed the position of President in 2012 when former President Burry was elected to the position of 15th District VP of the IAFF and was elected to that position shortly thereafter.
Doug has attended the IAFF Redmonds Symposium as 15th District OH&S representative and the IAFF Canadian Political Training Academy as well as a number of IAFF Policy and Legislative Conferences and Conventions.
Doug has been involved in a number of rounds of negotiations and arbitrations for this local and has served on almost all Association Committees at one time or another.
Doug has recently been awarded the Harvard-Ottawa Executive Leadership Program Scholarship.
John has been a member of our Department for almost 20 years and has been active in this Association since he arrived here. John is the longest serving member of our Executive having served for the last 12 years and has a great deal of experience with grievances, negotiations and arbitration.
John holds the position of Secretary of Local 1075, in addition to this he serves, and has served on a number of other committees and held a number of positions on our members behalf including:
- Vice President (affiliate) Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour
- Chairman NLFL Workers Compensation Committee
- Vice President For Newfoundland (Past) Atlantic Provinces Professional Fire Fighters Association
- Board member Municipal Safety Council of Newfoundland and Labrador
Jim O'Toole has been an active member with IAFF Local 1075 for over 10 years. Throughout the years he has served on various committees and in 2012 was elected to the position of member at large to serve on our executive board.
He continues to serve on various committees, and assist to organize various charitable events such as the Breast Cancer Foundation, Young adult Cancer, and the Atlantic Burn Camp to name a few.
Jim has also been an active member of our Presumptive Cancer Committee and as a member of our OH&S committee, help to ensure a safe workplace for our membership.
He is married to his wonderful wife of six years, Crystal and is blessed with two beautiful children Ryan and Gavin.
He looks forward to working for the members of our great association in the future.
Heather has been a 911 dispatcher since 2007 and has been involved in union volunteering with cupcake fundraisers/donations and volunteered with the Children's Wish Radiothon. She is also on the Wellness-Fitness Committee, and represents this local on the Women's Committee with the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour. She was elected to our Executive this past May. Heather has attended the Atlantic Provinces Professional Fire Fighters Association training seminar twice.

Dave was the previous president of this Local. Presently he serves as 15th District Vice President for our parent union the International Association of Fire Fighters, representing all Locals east of Ontario
